Unlocking ZTE MF627 / MF626
Please Only Proceed If You Are Capable Of Understanding These Instructions! You Do This At Your Own Risk!
If You Run Vista Do Not Try It, Only XP
Make sure no simcard is inserted in the dongle.
Plug it into the back of PC! As usb hubs and front ports can sometimes cause issues.
If not already done so allow modem to install drivers.
Let XP say “Device is installed & ready for use” Go to Start\Control Panel\System\Device Manager\ Make sure dongle is installed with drivers.
Download and extract the file: ZTE MF627 Unlocker
Run Flash Updater, when it has found device the download button will become active.
Click Download and leave it to flash, Mine took 18 minutes.
Do not unplug or use PC or you may break your dongle!
When it has finished it will tell you!
Extras:
Unplug it & put in your Vodafone/T-mobile/Orange or O2 Sim or whatever.
Run the auto run file and install Telstra connection manager, make sure there is no other connection manager installed, if there is then uninstall first.
Depending on your type of sim you need to add the right config file for your provider.
Search Google for the right APN etc for whatever type of sim you have.
For an O2 sim on a contract it was-
Click settings, Click Add, Config Name = O2Dial Number= *99#user = fasterpass= password APN= mobile.o2.co.uk DNS servers= 193.113.200.195 DNS servers= 193.113.200.195 I left the rest default and set the O2 config as the default provider.

pagdating sa downloading mode, walang progress nangyayari..
tapos may lalabas na prompt, “line 1 failed!: pls reset the modem..”
tapos “downloading failed!”..
panu po solution dito sa prob namin po master??

i tried unlocking my zte mf627 but just after it started the downloading mode, then i got this “line 1 failed, reset the modem manually”.
i tried it again a couple more time but the same error over and over again.
how do i solve this?
please help…

kasi hindi lahat ng zte pwedeng iunlocked. lalo kapag 04 ang dulo ng firmware nyo.
check nyo muna firmware before running the Flash Updater kasi sayang kapag nasira lang..

HI Jay AR. I’ve successfully done this with my smart mf627. problem is, everytime i use smart, it somehow cant detect my sun broadband so I have to do the process again. Kaya ba ilock ng smart ung phone once nakaconnect ka sa network nila? Pwede ba dito yung maglalagay ka ng code parang sa HUWAEI?
And how do I get the IMEI pala. its not on the modem eh and I threw away the box already. Thanks.

If you got this error “line 1 failed, reset the modem manually”. just remove the modem and re-insert it back and it will continue the process. I tried this on my ZTE MF627 modem and it was successful.

kelangan poh kze madowngrade ang firmware nio 2 B02 kze ang latest na firmware ng smart bro ngayon pra sa mf627 is B04 so kelangan mna ng downgrader bago mo xa maunlock sa dc-unlocker kze qng ang version ng firmware ng download nio eh ngta2poz sa B04 useless dn ang dc unlocker kze la2bas lng dun na naunlock na pero pg restart mo let ng modem lock n nmn la2bas…
post nio nlng eAd nio dun q nlng bigay ung software…

mga parekoy! tanong ko lng… nag unlock ako ng smart bro ZTE MF627… nag work nman sya kya lng from MF627 naging MF626 yung device ko…from Smart… nakakapag-internet me using Globe sim.. working fine sya s windows 7 pero ask ko lng pwede b mag unlimited internet using globe visibility connection manager? panget kc yung interface ng software.. “NOTHING” lahat yung label ng mga buttons kya kapa-kapa lng… my ibang version b ng globe visibility connection manager na available? anong version yung latest?.. any help will be very much appreciated.. thanks

parekoy need mo lang i uninstall yang usb modem mo, then reinstall para mabalik ung mga label ng dashboard mo. that happened to me din, puro nothing nakalagay, memorize ko naman un lahat so walang problem sakin pero ginawa ko in uninstall ko, then nireinstall ko ulit. ok na…

Got mine from Saudi Arabia, bad thing, it cannot be used here using any of the three networks…
Uninstalled the modem’s software first then installed Telstra…then tried flashing, download and update go on well…

I do the downloading to my MF627, but it will not finish. 98% the modem will restart and the process failed. Now the pc will not detect the device. Tell me how to restore the device or install new. please help me sir…..
